POPCORN AS A SNACK

Popcorn

It only takes:

  • 3 tablespoons corn
  • 1 tablespoon organic vegetable oil (I used coconut oil)

  1. Begin by putting the coconut oil in a pan and let it melt on medium heat
  2. Add the corn and cover
  3. Every 20 seconds stir the pan back and forth to distribute the heat through the corn kernels
  4. After two minutes, popcorn start popping, “POP!”
  5. When the sound of the popcorn popping diminishes, remove the pan from the fire and distribute the popcorn through the lunch boxes

An average bowl of homemade popcorn (50g), without added sugar or salt, can contain a very interesting amount of fiber (30% of the Recommended Daily Allowance) and various vitamins and minerals. It also provides 191 calories, very little fat (2g) and no salt or sugar. It is a great snack to eat in the middle of the morning or afternoon, to accompany a good movie, take to the beach, and be part of the parties 😉
